Access and edit your notes in the Personal Study tab. Back up your notes, highlights, and favorites to the cloud Thanks for watching the video. If you have questions, leave them in the comments section below. The app keeps getting better and better with each update and is definitely the first app you’ll want to download to your new device. Check out the other videos in this series now. Thank you very much for this very informative tutorial.
I use a Nexus 7 android but was able to follow along very easily. For meetings, assemblies and conventions I download the Program as an.rtf and put that file into my WPS (word processor) app. I use a bluetooth keyboard and type my notes after each talk title. Question: In making notes in the new app, I found that I can type my notes using my bluetooth keyboard but is there a way to completely us my keyboard in navigating the app? Thank you again. Sister Toni Buzzard, Ellsworth, ME Congregation. Debbie May 9, 2017 @ 1:59 pm.
Thanks for the video. It was very informative, as are all of your videos. I’m sure you know but I’m just mentioning in case someone else may not know that with the backup/restore; it works across all 3 platforms (Apple, Android & Windows).
So if a person uses different operating systems (I like to study with Windows but I take my iPad and/or Galaxy Note to the meeting and in the ministry) they will be able to keep the notes all the same, with a little work. Thanks again for taking the time to make this and all the other videos. AppChasers May 9, 2017 @ 2:45 pm.
I am trying to use the side pane to add to my comments. I have successfully added three comments and tagged them, all went well.
But now I am further down the page and the on device keyboard on my iPad is in my way and I can’t read what is am typing or see to add the tag feature. Do I need to get a separate keyboard to use this application! Probably as soon as I send this I will figure out what I am doing wrong.
I appreciate AppChasers so much, they have helped me learn to use Jwlibrary! THANKYOU for the work you do. Debbie May 13, 2017 @ 5:49 pm.
Greetings AppChasers & Friends, Thank you for this resourceful website! I am so excited about our JW Library update. I learned from your website an app that allows writing on PDF documents or which app to use with interactive programs but I’m noticing this years convention program appears not to be an interactive download. I’m guessing maybe because we can now take notes within our JW Library app; so inquiring if you know of a feature or do you know off a tool I can use with the app that has pen writing markup annotations without a stylus?. mary-katheryn derr May 23, 2017 @ 10:00 am. Peter, I had the same problem.
I will paste from another forum I am on. After extensive testing here is what I have come up with on the crashing of JW Library on my Windows 10 Pro PC. JW Library works okay on the PC.
I have done various things to check and make sure Windows is working okay on it. The problem happens when I try to restore a backup made on my iPad Air 2 on iOS 10.3.1 into the JW Library app on the PC. It will crash every time. It says it is successful, I use it for a minute or two, and then it crashes. I can take that same backup and restore it onto my old iPad 2 and it works okay. I can create a backup from the old iPad 2, not using data from my iPad Air 2, and restore it onto the PC and it works okay. I can’t transfer from iPad Air 2 to iPad 2, and then to PC, it will crash.
Therefore, it looks like something in the iPad Air 2 is causing the problem. I erased it and restored an old.db file to see if there was an issue there. It did not correct the problem.
I am starting to think my database is corrupt even though it works on both of my iPads. So, I deleted the app on my iPad Air 2 and re-downloaded it which created a new database. It works now.

I lost all my data, but at least I can restore on the Windows PC now. Maybe you can do a backup and keep it safe. Delete the app and restore it which will create a new database. You will have to download all the publications again.
Make some notes and highlights. Try to restore to Windows now. I did not like that I lost all my data, but I really wanted to be able to restore to Windows and do things there. It is really cool.
I hope this helps. Peter May 26, 2017 @ 9:19 pm. Hello, I wonder if you would have a suggestion to help.
I am trying to type in my “notes” in the jw library app. It works fine if I type using the keyboard on my iPad.
If I use a bluetooth keyboard in automatically closes the note before I can type in it. I highlight, touch the note symbol, it pops up in the side bar but it is closed. I touch edit and it opens and closes right back. I have tried two different keyboards and both have the same problem. Any thoughts Thanks. Peter August 31, 2017 @ 1:16 am.
Is there a way to link other publications or videos to a note? All within JW Library App of course. For example, if I have a note in Matthew 24: 14 and want to link it to w13 4/15 “Make Sure if the More Important Things”. Or if i wanted to add a note to the first scripture in Matthew and link it to the “Introduction to Matthew” video. Is this a feature that’s available and I’m just missing it? The main site used to have a feature suggestion and bug report email, but I don’t see it any more. Any way to suggest features?.
AppChasers December 2, 2017 @ 11:18 am. “The publication is not available at this time, please try again later”.
A brother ask me to help him with that error beneath his meetings page on the Jw library app. Most publications, videos etc were not available.
I tried downloading an older version (APK) online. I don’t know if it worked for him or not, lost contact because i moved. Few days later (early this year) when I opened my Jw library and went to meeting, I saw the same error. I updated it, downloaded older versions, cleared the data and chache but still doesn’t work. Please help, what do I do?. Yudhistira Brahmantyo January 20, 2018 @ 4:03 am. This is for anyone trying to transfer JW Library Personal Study Notes between Phones.
Here is the resolution for making transfers of my JW Library “Personal Study Notes” being transferred from an Old Samsung Phone to a New Samsung Phone. (Phones are: Samsung S7 with all the Notes being transferred to a new Samsung S9+). The Procedures used: Make sure both Phones are Bluetooth Visible and on the same Wi-Fi Network.
Open up JW Library on the Old Phone and go to Personal Study Tab, and open. Next, on the Old Phone, using the Cloud icon in the upper right, Create a Backup. Click on “Smart Things” icon, when the window shows, then Click on the (Available Devices). Go to the New Phone and Accept. Final Steps include: After the download and transfer, Drag down your notification window on the new phone and tap on the “Notification Transfer of files”.
Click restore. Make sure that JW Library is loaded on the New Phone. If Notes were made on both the Study Bible and the New World translation, both Versions need to be on the New Phone. I hope this will help others having the same concerns. Linda Campbell July 23, 2018 @ 12:07 am.
